| At the end of the day its up to Smith but for me he's hasn't had a bad season at all but it needs to be sorted well before the start of the season, the Briers situation is more of a problem because even if the rumours are not true we will have to replace him soon, personally I would like to see Rangi Chase here.

| Quote: Rob Wire "I don't think he would have made any difference, for the last 2 weeks we have played like a team thats looked like its running on empty. One player wouldn't have made a difference.
If he should have featured in any game it should have been at saints away, TS would have had a good chance to look at him in a big game enviroment knowing that even if we lost it wouldn't have meant the end of the road in the play offs.'"
He did play at Saints.

He was only draughted into the 17 on the bench because of the late injury to Higham, he was going to be left out if Higham hadn't of got injured.

TS is nurturing him - making him see his weaknesses and working on that.
I can see many people on here complaining he will burn out if he was played too much.
The lad just needs time, which TS is very sensibly giving him.'"
Shame TS doesnt Nurture players like Kevin Penny then
with 7 minutes left, 5 points the difference we had the ball on our 30 yard line a kick down field for Penny To chase would have been a certainty a couple of years ago. alas we now have no pace and no outlet when we run up dead ends as we were doing last night.

| This stuff about Myler being unhappy is just hearsay which has started on forums and been stirred up by other clubs fans so eventually it gets believed as fact.

Two years ago we wouldn't have been in this playoff game and we certainly wouldn't have been Challenge Cup winners. I liked Penny but he wasn't good enough to get past our first choice wingers, he scored tries but had weaknesses to his game, unfortunately for him, Riley and Hicks score tries and are safer bets.

| Quote: Ulster Wire "LoyalFan you have no reason to crow he has improved since coming to Warrington and is a young lad who will still get better.'"
I wouldn't say I'm crowing... just giving my opinion on him. The times I've seen him for Warrington this season has certainly been no better than I saw at Salford. To be fair though... He should be better with the calibre of player around him in comparison.
One things for certain... I wouldn't be keen on him coming back. That's not based on anything other than the fact that I don't think he offers enough as a scrum half. With that in mind... anybody think he'd make a better stand-off ?

Don't think it matters either way as long as you have one playmaker type halfback and one running halfback. You can't have two of the same type. I wouldn't pair McGuire with Myler.
Remember with Myler he is going through the obligatory second stage of a new British player coming through
stage 1 - talented player emerges, fans of his club brag about how great he is, Eddie starts talking about him as the future of rugby league
stage 2 - gets described as most overrated player in the league
stage 3 - either fades away or gets respect
Danny McGuire had this, remember for a while Noble was getting slagged off for not picking him for Great Britain, we would have beaten the Aussies if we had McGuire at stand off instead of Harris and so on. Then everybody started saying McGuire was a one trick pony all he had was pace and nothing else. Now he has got respect again.
Ben Westwood had this as well, he was "the next Keith Senior" and Warrington signed him, then he became Ben Deadwood, now everybody likes him.
I reckon after the Four Nations this year when we lose to the Aussies, Sam Tomkins will take the mantle of most overrated player in the league.

| Just saw this on twitter- "Heard Briers is going now we're out the play-offs because him and Myler don't get on, that's why Myler hasn't been playing". I think its a load of garbage but its apparently been confirmed by a Widnes player involved with the Wire. Anyone know anything about this?

| I would'nt be supprised if young Myler is unhappy apart from being left out on a couple of occasions the only chant we have for him is to insult his hometown club. I cringe everytime it's sung, what kn*bs we are sometimes.

Wait till they hear about this in Hull, the Humberside Briers-spotters will be in overdrive.
