I’ve never reffed, played to a decent standard nor coached but have followed the buggers for 40+ years. Embarrassingly for a man of my age I’m still annoyingly passionate about the Wire (still distraught about Wembley). I like to think I’ve got a fair understanding of the game, despite not being Ellery Hanley, and I too think our current attacking prowess is somewhat lacklustre. 

Yes I'm with you on this but we've had a tough time & may have more to come. We matched HKR in all phases on Saturday & our effort was great. Most of us can see the weaknesses. I don't think the team deserve constant negativity though & it doesn't help us.

Ive probably followed Wire for longer than you have been in existence. I don't have to justify my allegiance to you. 


Last time I checked this was a forum that encourages discussion on our club. Just seems you sh*t the bed whenever you read any critique and lash out.

Wires71 & Smiffy - can you please just get a room! Do you have to derail every thread with your petty bitching at each other that no-one else is interested in?

You right that it should not be a place where people attack people for want of a better word. But in the case every time someone makes a post that Smiffy does not like he as a go at the poster rather than post a counter argument.

Over the years I have known posters stop posting but with the likes of Wires 71 and myself and a few others we call it how we see it in the moment. I stand to be corrected but I don’t recall any of the other guys directly calling out anyone poster. 


Only defence I can give to Smiffy is he is not the only poster that will have a go at someone’s post there a couple more, all I can say is it’s a good job these people are not Saints fans there is no filter on Redvee and the can be pretty vicious with their comments, we would need paramedics on standby lol. 


 Just for clarity there are many positive posts made by the people that Smiffy goes at and also negative posts, to be honest I’m not sure we see them as positive or negative just our comments and thoughts in the moment. But back to your post yes the petty bitching does not help, this is a forum for discussion about anything rugby related and of Warrington in particular and so long as the boundaries are not crossed you can say what you like and sadly it includes people calling people out. Go spend a week on Redvee it’s a different world.

Stef should be nowhere near the team. I'd rather have Josh Thewlis at FB and his brother on the wing. 

Agree, can’t deny he as been a great player for the club over his time I am also finding it concerning reading reports it’s not ruled out he may yet go another year. I know he as likely played more games this season so far than was probably expected. Meaning if we had not had the injuries we have had he in all likelihood would not have got those games so talk of an extension is odd for me.

Think I would be selecting Wrench on the wing before Jake Thewlis, and maybe even Lindop, but with what happened with Lindop at Wembley he shouldn`t be dropped at the moment.

It's more entertaining than watching us trying to score points.

Attempted to quote karetakerInteresting that you reference people stop posting. One of the reasons I post a lot less is the passive aggressive tone you take whenever someone disagrees with you. 
Smiffy is clearly a glass half full person and while you might not agree with him I don’t think it makes his opinion any less valid.
Take as an example the argument that our attack is a blunt instrument. It clearly has not been particularly effective BUT I would argue this is in a large part down to the constant shuffling of half backs and centre/wing combinations. You will no doubt see that as making excuses. I see it as common sense. 
Finally it strikes me that it is a lot easier as a Wire fan to be negative than positive so Smiffy’s stance is in my view all the more laudable.
