No its not my intention to aim my post at anyone ever,if ive got a beef with anyone at any time id pm them if you think it was aimed at you then i aplogise.my post is just my opinion regarding season ticket holders and what they believe they should get, as for them being more loyal why is that ive been following the wire for more than 40 years and never been a season ticket holder does this mean im not loyal.

I hope sky are stumping up the cash for the refund that Hudds have offered to their fans .

May be a solution to the lack of enthusiasm for the take up of play off tickets due to cash flow problems in home up & down the country could be for the clubs to come up with a system of easy payments to pre buy play off tickets right up to the final with the proviso that any unused tickets can be used towards the cost of next years season tickets or given in vouchers for pay on the day fans.

Well its not 19 pound in the north stand is it..... there will be loads of spaces in the seated areas. Just at the time when they need a big crowd to create a good atmosphere. A bit of good will and common sense would increase the crowd. However a lot will opt to watch on sky me included who has been to the majority of home and away games this year.

Ps that billy salter is rubbish... he keeps throwing it over his shoulder.

I'm a non-season ticket holder because it's a 300 mile round trip for me every time I see the Wire at home.
I watch Wire games on Sky and go when they're not on.

As has been said elsewhere, if you compare Wendyball entrance prices with RL it's a no brainer, so I've no time for people who whinge about ticket prices.
A season ticket really is absurdley cheap in the full scheme of things.

I appreciate that times are tough and for those on low salary/wage it's a big commitment and I'm not in that position but many years ago I was and I actually cut back on other things (drinking, petrol - cycles to work etc) to fund that.

Should season ticket holders get preferential treatment for play off games?
My view - yes to be able to buy them in advance, but no for 'discounts'.
I'll go to every playoff match Wire/Wolves are in even though it's on Sky because I just want to be there.
It's only the last couple of years we've managed it.
Those 'newer' fans perhaps expect it. I don't.

As well as season ticket benefits, could they not create some sort of members club in which you get... say, that weeks game on DVD, a programme, discount vouchers, news letters, match reports on all age groups, events happening around town etc etc, pay a monthly subscribtion to it and it affords you the same benefits as a season ticket holder?

On these sort of threads, there's always a comparison with football prices. I don't think people realise that you can get into a number of games for a number of clubs cheaper than our North Stand.

For games that might struggle to sell, some clubs drop ticket prices. My mate has been to a number of City games for £25 for him and his lad. The last few United games I've been to were £26/27. The same price as a North Stand ticket on Saturday.

There's always the argument about if we want to sign the best players, we have to pay the price. If that is the case, why not charge £40 a game? The answer to that is we wouldn't sell many tickets at that price because everyone has a price where they will decide to stop going and if there's a crowd of 7 or 8,000 on Saturday, it shows that £19 or £27 to sit down is too much for 3 or 4000 people. Also we're not and are not going to sign Slater or Marshall, so the argument is pointless.

It all comes down to whether we want a full house for a play off game or we want to make as much money as we can, which is shared between all play off clubs anyway. I think it should be a compromise in between.

I'm seriously thinking about not going on Saturday and keeping my £24 and whatever I usually spend in my back pocket.

Fairly certain the RFL gets the gate money from playoffs, so from a club point of view, the more the merrier, regardless of what they pay to get in. ...... The club benefits from the merchandise/food/drink the extra people in the ground buy from them ....... and if they're sat at home/in the pub, it's costing the club money.

My biggest gripe has never been the cost of playoff tickets; it's that the first playoff game for the top 4 is a complete waste of time - just an extra chance to pick up injuries.

After the GF last year I felt gutted because we had lost, but not ripped off as I'd seen a great game of rugby .... After the first playoff game against Saints at the HJ I was fuming because it felt like I'd been charged to watch a training session!

There is an alternative, not getting into the play-offs. Can you imagine some of the posts on here if we didn't make it.

Also, for those who sit in the North Stand, are you planning on going in the East or South Stand on Saturday to save a few quid?

£19 & £5 would be my limit and as stated I'm thinking of not going at that price. If it was full price for Juniors, I definitely wouldn't be going.

As I said, it's not the ticket cost, it's the pointless nature of the game for the top 4 (and I'm sure many Wigan/Hudds fans will feel the same about their game) - I'm not going Saturday but will almost certainly spend £19 (and more!) in the pub instead; When it actually becomes a 'knockout' situation, I'll go ...

I agree with you regarding the pointlessness of the game and the question is not really for you . It's aimed more to those who say £19/27 is a good price for a Round 1 play off game. But would you go if the tickets were a tenner, a fiver or free?
