| thought the club slipped up not offering the voucher for free admission this year for this rounds tie,it was free for juniors but not for adults hence the poor attendance in the east and north stand,i think we would have been portrayed in a better light with packed stands for a home game albeit televised or not, still the wire march on.

| When we play games in the earlier rounds of CC we often get lower gates.
Some posters on here then talk about Loyal fans and how the ones that didn't go will be there if we get to Wembley and thus they are Band Waggoner's. I didn't go today because I work every other Saturday, it drives me mad missing any Wire game and I am sure it is the same for many other fans. Watching the Lads is often the highlight of my week and if I had my way Off Season would be banned and made illegal.
I had work today others who didn't go had their valid reasons varying from family commitments, other pre arranged functions or just plain not having the funds for every single game.
All who post on here love the Wire [size Except Saddened who should be shot at dawn for being a fifth columnist[/size and if we could would be at each & every single game cheering the lads on.

That initiative was scrapped this year for some reason, not a Wire decision, across the league.

| The CC is going through a bit of a crisis patch at the moment - and that's reflected in the poor crowds across the board when SL plays SL.
It's great to see the likes of Featherstone do well. It takes the predictability out of it.
It's almost as thought the comp doesn't get going until the quarters, but hat's off to Widnes.
I thought we did what we had to do but it was well off our best. The bench was a big factor in our win. Carvell was immense - but he capitalized on the work of others.
Hill had a good game - despite the yellow. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Having said that I've never seen so many hands in the ruck.
Our discipline was very poor though.
Really like O'Brien in the halves.
Overall our peformance - 7/10
(but we'll get murdered by top 4 teams if we play like that......)

| I managed to get to the match today and also took in the U20's game at Wilderspool at lunchtime. John Child was absolutely awful and was conned by the Bulls on quite a few occasions. They were purposefully slowing down Warrington's ptb and there were a number of high tackles that went unpunished. The Linesman was responsible for the penalty from the Briers kick off and it was obvious that the player caught the ball and then put his foot over the dead ball line. Benny H and Gaz Carvell looked right back in form today. Woody made some good ground in the second half and I thought Waterhouse had an excellent game, apart from 1 offload, which I think a Bradford player may have called for.

| Fatbelly, I wasn't having a pop. I miss a lot of games myself, due to having a small person who cannot manage evening games and two other small people who cannot manage the day after such a late night! I merely meant that it was a shame, and it was. No pointy fingers, no pitchforks

| Awful awful refereeing........the sad thing is many new before kick off it would be a shocking display and he didnt dissapoint.
calling good things bad, bad things good, completely missing things, trying to assert his dominance by giving stupid penalties instead of talking to players.
from the TV interesting to see him When a baffled Briers said "can i ask you a question" he says No, but then allows a ranting diskin to go on and on....
the man cannot command any respect.
even Smithy was laughing at him for Ben jeffries "knock on" that went three yards back........
should never ref again.......

Didn't Hodgson try to explain to him that the rules are if you catch the kick off in the field of play and then step out, it should be a dropout, not a penalty on halfway?
Awful refereeing throughout. He made poor decisions for both sides, but the fact that he just wouldn't let the game flow killed it as a spectacle. Continuously resetting the scrums was a joke.
Looks like TS has also had a bit of a moan about him: www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/spo ... slow_ruck/

| I rarely criticise referees as it is a difficult, thankless task, which many of the most vociferous complainers would struggle to do effectively themselves, I'd wager.
However, that was an utterly hapless, embarrassing, amateurish display by Child today.

| Childs was consistently awfull for both sides. Our discipline is letting us down again & we need to tighten up or we will get burnt again.
Thought Waterhouse had an excellent game & he didn't give a penalty away! Gaz Carvell had a big impact from the subs bench - maybe his best position?
