I do think it's alarming for Wigan that this is the calibre of player they attract.

But it may be that the signing of this no-mark is a clever ruse to make Carmont look reasonable in comparison.

If you would actually look into why we have signed Gelling, he was recommended to Wigan by both Dean Bell and Kevin Iro and Wigan had been watching him for quite a while. Isn't it true that Wire have the most players over the age of 30 in superleague? Over twice the number that Wigan have. In fact only Leeds come close with eight.

And add to that they have one of the least number of home grown players.

You struggle to produce young talented player's so you have to buy in other teams?
