I think the reason Hill and the team didn't react to this is because it wasn't obvious. Hocks was followed by a punch.

The slimy little rat Hardaker did it slyly and Hill obviously thought it was an accident as he couldn't see the tacklers and their positions.

With video evidence and his previous record of homophobic abuse he SHOULD cop a minimum 5 match ban. Gouging is a Grade E-F offence so the max he could face is a period suspension.

I believe the RFL will try and grade it as contact with the head or some bs so he only gets a couple games.

Quite true about a still picture, but I commented on the fact he looked like he was gouging Hilly whilst watching it live so it can't have been off the face that quickly

But the RL rules do state that you cannot use a head guard as a lever or grip point to complete a tackle because it's attached to the head and therefore a head high tackle; so I guess we can blame (again) poor on field refereeing ??

Watched the match back, no doubt it is totally deliberate and Hill drops the ball in reaction to the gouge.

Hardaker is a disgrace.

Thought it was deliberate at the time but maybe thats because I think Hardaker is a horrible scrote and my judgement is clouded.

Nothing will get done, I just hope Mr Hill gets a chance for payback (legally) the next time we play.

Whether Zak "graces" the Wembley turf or not, I'd say the lad needs to watch his step.

Acting the tit in an England camp, days before the World Cup starts, then throwing abuse around, the following season, isn't exactly endearing himself to the RL watching public.
Add to this, an accusation of gouging (some say he did, some say he didn't), he isn't gaining many friends, apart from the supporters of his own team, much in the mould of a certain "hardman" prop, the same team employs.

Sour grapes has nothing to do with it (I don't remember the incident, and have deleted it from my Sky+ box, and have no particular inclination to revisit it). The lad's going the right way to be thought of as the next Gaz Hock. And we all know how much of a whopper he is, eh chaps?
