In an amateur game it's a 4 match ban for abuse, 8 matches if it's directed at the officials.

What a stupid post. The league leaders get club call if they win their first match. So finishing 1st is very important.

Apparently the BBC have had loads of complaints about him. Maybe people sat at home on a Saturday afternoon don't particularly expect or want to see a two fingered salute watching the BBC

Definition of misconduct 1. A player is guilty of misconduct if he:

uses offensive or obscene language.(g) disputes a decision of the Referee or Touch Judge.

behaves in any way contrary to the true spirit of the game.

he will simply say it was just the camera angle he ment nothing by it. the rfl may ask him to say sorry. end of story.

With respect, that would apply to virtually every single player. And the majority of any given RL crowd.
