Oh i apologise for stating the obvious, thing is the player he is now is not the player he was when he came here, i get that someone earlier said about his frustrations of hiw this season is going, BUT i noticed this creaping into his game last season. My opinion for what its worth is he doesnt need this in his game, he is a class player without it.

I was quickly shot down earlier this season when I dared to question if Hilly"s selection outweighing his penalty count.

One thing nobody can argue, whether he has done it once, or every week. The yellow card and one match ban were justified, He isn't a dirty player in my books. But it wasn't a smart tackle, and was designed to throw Gale off his game/take him out.

The punishment was correct.

The consistency is the only thing, Those in Cherry and White have been doing this for years and getting away scot free.

Westwood did the same thing against Leeds and it worked - Leeds were thrown off their game, lost a player, rattled and we took advantage.

This time it cost us the game. Swings and roundabouts etc.

My problem is that a). it's cowardly and b). It was stupid on both occasions.

We need more aggression in our play but I'd rather see Cooper, Hill, Clark etc. hurting players legally in the tackle, taking the ball in with venom and targetting defensively weak players.

Westwood I expected it of, big on heart, low on IQ.

Hill I didn't, and he went down in my estimation. He made a tough assignment impossible.

A tough assignment impossible? Have you seen us play recently? We're probably the only side in the comp in as bad if not worse form then yourselves.


There will be two teams devoid of confidence going against each other on Saturday and to predict how it will go is impossible IMO. It's a total 50/50 game. Who would have thought we'd be in this position only 8 months after playing each other in the Grand Final?!!

Difference is you have a good few players back for this game that will give confidence to the others and we've got err Brown back

I would suggest that this act was done purposely to avoid the next game and get out of the limelight. This CHilly is not the one we know and I for one believe that he is treading water this season. I know this is a controversial statement but its my view. Many of the incidents this season show me that the team as a whole are protesting in there own ways at something.

We should be asking what is happening at board level, the players will turn it around and avoid the MPG given the chance by the board, but the board have to give them the chance!!

You'd think if the players had any concerns, they could go to Karl, after all, as player welfare officer, he was there run the players to the IKEA when they had no cutlery after getting to their house for first time, or ensuring they had the right flavour of Gatorade. Other drinks are available.

Is it time to put in one of our props from the reserves or under 21, got nothing to loose and hopefully they will be hungry enough to want to stake a claim for a contract.

50/50 game? Wigan would've battered us without the return of their stars.....with Bateman, Gelling et al returning it'll be carnage. I'm unable to even view the game on TV and for the first time in 40 years I'm actually glad I'll completely miss a game.

For clarity the tough assignment I was referring to was Cas away, specifically losing our best forward early on in the piece.

However, given Wigan expect to have some of their walking wounded back I don't expect this weekend will be much fun either.

Don't know what his numbers are like but he's seemed to be a penalty machine this season

13 penalties (26th most out of all SL players, 2nd for us)

Jack Hughes has given away 16 (13th most in SL, 1st for us)

Brown is on 10 (3rd for us)

Most penalties in the league is Chris Houston with 21.

We are 10th in the league for penalties. Don't give away as many if teams run straight through us.
