However, I don't really get why he didn't make our team for more matches in the last few weeks. I hope it was just as simple as TS preferred Evans and Russell on the wing (and latterly Lineham) and there just wasn't room for Penny. However, what will change to get him in the team? I'm just a fan who enjoys his game, no sort of coach, so I'll bow to TS's far more informed choice, but hey ho.

Great news. I just hope he gets regular games. So frustrating seeing a proven try scorer, sat in the stands, when we have non wingers taking his place.

I would have Penny in my side over Evans every single day of the week and twice on a matchday.

I would put money on that fact that most Super League defences would be more worried about Kev's pace and footwork than Russell or Evans hitting it up to the first defender.. When he plays he scores so for christs sake Tony play the bloke..!

Speaking to somebody at the GF and the only thing which needs to change for him to get in the side is his attitude. He has been offered some professional advice by the clubs backroom staff and is refusing to take it. Might or might not be true, but it also matched the interview with TS after the Hull game about Lineham.......... He is a liability defensively, prone to errors and doesn't make good metres with ball in hand... Being fast doesn't make you a good winger.

Why people act as though Smith has some vendetta against penny is baffling, Russell and lineham are both comfortably better players.

I could see an argument for penny over evans on the wing because evans doesn't offer anything in attack.

I'm sorry, but your first 5 words are complete testicles (imo), if you're comparing him to any other wingers in SL. He's no more a liability than anyone else. More a convenient excuse to be used, when any tries are scored within 10M of his touchline. FFS, I've seen him "hung out to dry" by the Beatified Matt King, more times than I care to mention (particularly that incident @Stains, about 7 years ago).

Yes, he misses tackles, every winger does. I've also seen him put in some crackers.
