Why is it Rugby league gets shafted when it comes to big events. This weekend is disrupted and Wembley is always B@###£#s that weekend.

The sooner they move it from the bank holiday weekend the better for me.

The Establishment hates RL, they will do anything to cheat us of our due, the train going public of Greater Manchester are merely collateral damage.

Bit over the top. The August bank holiday is a bit of a bummer but Northern rail have been an absolute shambles since they took control 2 months ago. It's not like there hasn't been ample time since the quarter final to arrange alternate transport

It's railtrack that have been the issue over the years because of Bank holiday track repairs.
Yet I blame the RFL for not acting to move away from the holiday weekend.

Providing we do the unthinkable and make it through in a big game, would anybody going on the train? If so how are you doing it?

We have a hotel provisionally booked in Watford but struggling with the train. Looked at all options but hoping somebody has something that they can suggest that I haven’t already looked into.

I would be going Down Friday so that’s not a problem. Coming back Sunday is just WOW. 4 changes and a 4 hour journey, got that from Virgin website.

We were going to do similar and stay in Warford, but trains to Wembley on the Sat are a nightmare. So need somewhere we can drive to, then quick train in and out if Wembley on the Sat. Drive home Sunday.

The majority of RL fans live in the North, so a viable means of transport for many is a train . Given that EVERY Bank Holiday, Network Rail have major works to their tracks, you're going to get massive disruption.

Less people are going to Wembley, these days, so less people make "a long weekend" of it, it would make sense to move away from late August.

Move the CCF to around about this weekend, and have the semis in early July. When the CC has ended, we can have an uninterrupted run to the GF.

The 3 main decision makers on the date of the CC final will be BBC ,when the game can be fitted into their schedule , Sky, when they don't need RL one weekend ,& Wembley ,when they will let us have the stadium. The RFL will come a distant 4th.
