Plenty of Man United fans criticise Jim Ratcliffe and he's invested billions. I get it that two of the directors have put seven figures into the club (as director's loans) but that's a very small percentage of their net worth, so let's get it into perspective. They are not "doing us a favour" or "saving the club", they are doing it for themselves and their own interests.  This does not make them immune from criticism, no they have a massive responsibility as they are the temporary custodians of a club that belongs to the town with a sporting heritage of nearly 150 years. Without the ongoing support of the "fans"* they own absolutely nothing but a rectangular patch of grass and a rusting stadium. 

I have more sympathy for the fans on the bones of their ar$e$ with nothing who shell out hundreds of pounds (they don't have) for family season tickets year in, year out to watch continual under performance and under achievement with the only interest in them from the clown in chief being how much merchandising tat, edgy street wear, and watered down beer he can sell them. 



*Fans in quotes just for Smithy. 

When you say 'the club are paying people to advise' I assume you're referring to our Director Of Rugby & senior coaching staff ?

Yeah but more so aimed at the advisors we use in Australia, i just find it bizarre and a waste of club/investors money constantly bringing players over that don't cut it 

Ah well, my point stands. I don't think Sam Burgess gives a stuff about Warrington. 

You can't be blaming advisors in Australia for signings the likes of; Kyle Amor, Joe Bullock, Rob Butler, Anthony England, Lama Tasi, Ryan Bailey, Gary Wheeler, Brad Dwyer, Kev Penny, Matty Bylthe, Alfie Johnson, Oli Leyland, Jordy Crowther, Gil Dudson, Josh Drinkwater, Greg Minikin, Anthony Gelling etc. these players were playing over here when we signed them.

The only advisor we've paid in Australia was an advanced stats guy on NRL players who Lomax knows. But if you think there's a network of pro scouts or advisors etc then you're barking up the wrong tree. Sounds crazy doesn't it !!!


Simon Moran speaks to a few people who've advised him, but they certainly don't get paid ie, Andrew Johns, Jim Bannaghan, Russell Crowe, Phil Gould etc. Well, I say Phil Gould, but that's another chapter for my book.

Ahem.  I was roundly criticised on here 2 years ago for saying the Moran, one of the boys, pint on the terrace routine was wearing a bit thin.


We don't need anoher speccie.  We need a w*nker of an owner who ruthlessly pursues success and expects the same from his management team.


I'm sure most Real Madrid fans have never met their owner, let alone had a paellla and a pint with him but they have enjoyed massive success over a long period by being utterly focussed and driven.

what about danny okoro  prop from bradford contracted till 2027 out on loan  what a waste of money or has he been released
