| Sorry but favouring Crowther over Harthill…or indeed Crowther over anybody is beyond the pale for me. He’s an extremely negative coach - got away with it with his first season presence and having Nicholson (and latterly) Bateman defending like trojans. We could have no injuries and he’d find a way in for Tai, Crowther and Powell.

Just to confirm current injury list (most very long term)
Backs Dufty, Taylor-Wray, Ashton, Lindop, Leyland, Hayes Forwards Harrison, Walker, Holroyd (obviously not all of these would play every week but most would)
Only Harrison is likely to be available next week. This makes it difficult to shake the team up, rest players or drop them. All teams get injuries and it's part of playing rugby but this is quite a long term list. Tough times.
I don’t care win lose or draw but the reserves put in a more spirited performance today. What excuse could he give for at least giving Hartill a spot, even starting him. Keeps making appearances in the 21 so just let him have a go.

| Matty russell scooting about the field would be a welcome sight now, might actually make some yards and have some effort on the field. I honestly find myself rooting more and more for Wakefield every week, i really enjoy watching them. Might become a wildcat

On another thread, I called us Spursy. We are, but they've won something, recently KF has turned us into the Manchester United of rugby league.

I generally agree with your sentiments and I know he's not everyone's 'cup of tea', but thought that Tai had a decent game today

How many times have we 'shot ourselves in the foot' coming up with poor performances and results whilst reaching out to new/lapsed supporters???

| With Tai I think people get charmed by the occasional bit hit. Danny Lima had the same effect with the occasional spectacular barnstorming run but neither can disguise the defects across their games. If you asked people to name all the SL centres Tai is better than, I suspect you'd be hard pushed to name many. I'd like a centre (particularly a quota player) to possess real pace, an ability to read the opposition attack and a top passing game. I'm also aware that we can't have superstars in all positions but apart from Wrench (who looked lively when we eventually got the ball to him) and the injured Lindop, we have a real lack of pace at centre. Next season I'd like to see Wrench and Lindop at 3 and 4 with King and an Academy player as back up.

| Can you believe it's 2 decades since Danny Lima played for us!
He arrived relatively unknown and became popular because his first few weeks he played well including on televised games, running in hard. After that he was so-so, but he did get the crowd going when he came off the bench.
Chris Leikvoll, who signed at the same time, had the opposite story. He started slowly and looked slow and lumbering and there was some quote in the press about how the coaches expected him to improve when the pitches got harder. We thought here we go, he's one of 'those' kind of signings. But over time he won respect and his handling was very good for a front rower, he was a good offloader.
