That interview with Brad Arthur said it all. He spoke about the professionalism of the club at Leeds, I just think we're a shambles in this regard, terrible recruitment, terrible attack, unlucky admittedly with injuries but every team has that issue as the season progresses. I just really don't know what to think. No point saying we need a clear out again. Powell tried that and it made things worse, nobody had the balls to see it through long term. Do we need to be brave and essentially eat sh*t for a few years in order to draw all the poison out of the organisation?
No point in saying we need a clear out...so what's the alternative keep this bunch so we have more of the same next season... That's not what I meant, I meant I'd actually welcome a clear out, but only if everyone was able to stick to a long term plan. But it's not worth having a clear out if everyone starts crapping themselves when phase one (the clearout) means we struggle for a year or two as we rebuild.

Burgess out
He'll be here in 2026 ( unless he gets a job in Aus) Lifeguard? Kylie Minogue's dresser? Skippy's fluffer? Remember, the Aussies aren't exactly keen on Aussie coaches that have been serial winners over here....Matty Elliott, Ian Milward only went back as assistants (iirc). I don't think they'll be on the phone for a back to back CC runner up British coach. After last weeks defeat, we might as well've had the end of season party. We're light years behind the play offs, quality wise. Time our "superstars" bucked up, and some of our squad players were shown the door I feel like I’m going round the twist. On a serious note the honeymoon period is well and truly finito now with Sam, all three of him Gleeson and chambers should be shown the door along with Kiss cam Karl, I’m fed up with the gimmicks I genuinely couldn’t believe what I was as reading after Wembley. The recruitment, over paying and relying on players like crowther, Powell (how many meters did he make again) and tai, when we would surely get more benefit long term from academy talent being played instead. We’re saying the same thing nearly year after year there is a very serious rot that we can’t seem to shift at this club and it’s going to take some very ballsy decisions from Moran and Middleton and co to sort it out.

| I am surprised that people didn't expect that we'd get a hammering. Leeds have looked very good recently and we are struggling. Leeds are currently the 3rd best team in SL and they are on the up. Most of our team look like they would love a week off and because we are short if troops we can't give them a rest. Further serious injury too for Lindop. I'm not expecting us to find Huddersfield easy either. They have got there team together after a tough spell of their own troubles. They came within one tackle of beating Wigan. Tough times but we've all seen it before ... so we have to man up and ride the storm.

I wasn't suprised in the slightest. Even if we had won at Wembley this game was always going this way. Injuries - We have Ashton, Dufty and Walker injured out of the starting squad. It's unfortunate and they are good players but we are hardly decimated. This is not an excuse. Rest - We cannot/will not rest anyone because we won't play the next man up anymore and the recruitment has given us players that are not good enough to play for the 1st team. Furthermore some players have had recent rest (King, Williams, Fitzgibbon, Wrench) Pack - We have lost a prop forward due to disciplinary issues and the already understrength pack is getting smashed weekly especially when Vaughan is spelled. Form - We have won 2 of the last 8 league games so this has been going on for a while. Nothing new. Leadership - We have a coach who is sniping at the RL press when asked reasonable questions eg) if he is concerned about our defence. I have no confidence we will get any better in 2025. Positives - Thewlis had a great game at fullback and showed bags of effort. But like you said, we man up - this is nothing new for us. I'm off to enjoy father's day.

I would definitely play Ben Hartill as a substitute until Danny Walker plays in the 1st team again. Powell offers very little threat from dummy half, and Crowther even less (Hard to believe that is possible). The opposition players know that that the ball is just going to be passed to the first receiver and can consequently easily target him.

With Lindop out, and Harrison missing next week due to HIA, there needs to at least two changes. Jake Thewliss to the wing is the most obvious but we're short in the forwards. He could bring Whitehead in or he could play Crowther as a middle and give Hartill a chance. We've not seen much of him but, from what we did see, he didn't look out of place.

| Yates isn't a starting propPowell is one dimensional as a hooker Tai and King are decent in defence and woeful in attack Williams is the personification of a conceited, under performing club Crowther is championship level Burgess and his coaching staff have no excuses and no answers Recruitment policy is back of a fag packet stuff
The youngsters suggest a bright future - but they are dropping like flies, either due to bad luck or over exposure.
Next week is make or break. Lose that and we can start planning for 2026 - starting with the entire coaching team.

| Yes we may as well play the young players as they are our future, as said previously, we are losing anyway.
