Wires71:Lord Tony Smith:
Hearing he wants to take both Williams and Walker with him, coincidentally, both players contracts are out of contract at the end of the 2026 season. We could have got a fee for Walker this season from Canberra.
Walker is in contract until 2029 so we would still be entitled to demand a fee if he were to move. https://www.superleague.co.uk/article/4770/walker-commits-to-warrington
I stand corrected. Heard similar on Musgrove. Bust up with another player apparently. Told to stay away from training. Might not even be here next week.

From my chair I have become very disillusioned with Burgess this season, it feels like it’s been one big party and his attitude at times seems to have been poor. Not putting it all on him the club are implicit in a lot of it, the passport debacle the alleged parties fully unprofessional if true.
We were told that Big Sam was a leader of men, but I didn't realise that meant leading them down to the pub and/or off-licence!

| Heading to a completely new club as co-head coach and all that that entails, there is NO WAY he would be fully focussed on us despite what he would claim.

Exactly, it's human nature that as soon as you have a new job to go to, your focus on the current job is not the same - even if you were the experienced consummate professional. He'll be doing for Perth what he was doing for Wire when he was still assistant at South Sydney. He will also have all the issues of relocation to the other side of the world, family concerns etc. Nah, cut this short and wish him well. Be different if we were on the cusp of glory, but we aint.

| Walker won’t be going anywhere but it wouldn’t shock me if Williams went back down under I’ve seen the dolphins are also linked with him.

Williams came back from the NRL, because his missus couldn`t hack it in Australia and wanted to be near to her family. She seems to be a home bird, so I am not sure that she would want to go back there.

| I wondered what happed to Musgrove, i've not been a fan of him at all since he came over, but had shown a marked improvement recently so thought it was odd he disappeared. Solomona would be a massive miss for us if this might stop him coming, but not the end of the world. Bit weird the club apparently said we're not looking to sign a big bopper, but the last 2 names mentioned are big boppers. Must have realised the big clubs have them and are doing fine. I suppose the club knows Burgess was leaving at somepoint, and if they are moving to sort his replacement sooner than later i'm not gonna complain with that. I think it's the recruitment that's let us down this year, but signing weaker players than what we had has exposed Burgess' inexperience, and he looks absolutely clueless at times this year. It feels like we've gone back to how we were for years, turn up for big games and clock off for lesser teams, i must admit i've clocked off abit myself this season and the excitement from last year has turned to meh. Even though we've made the CC final i'm just not revved up.

I doubt we’ll be seeing Musgrove again, in P&B anyway.I think you may see the rumours in time. Speaking of rumours, BBQ celebrations that Musgrove just so happened to be at, were so heavy after the CC Leigh win, it’s no surprise Wire were hammered vs Wakey. I need to be careful what I post as it gets put on fb when I do.
