It made sense to me, Wrench playing his first game for 12 months, big ask for him to play the 80. 

I think we’ll see a similar team and similar result vs HKR, academy team vs Cas and then Williams, Fitzgibbon & King back for Wembley. Problem is top 6 will be gone by then. We can’t afford a defeat vs Cas at home.

This may end up being a disaster of a season and even a miraculous Cup win wouldn't make it any more palatable. 

So switch Currie to centre then, Harrison to LF and Wood on.  On an already weak bench that was a shocking waste.

For me ( I’m aware of the injuries) I’d have targeted today as a must win and left HKR alone. I believe Moran has bollocked those responsible for the off-season recruitment and rightly so as that is where our problems currently lie.

John Davidson has reported that Musgrove won’t be here next season. Hopefully, we can release him early and get a replacement in sooner than later. 
Recruitment is clearly the big issue - both Leigh and Wakefield have done miles better than us. It’s surprising Burgess and Chambers have got this badly wrong. It was reported in Powell’s time were in for Ese’Ese but Burgess chose his mate Musgrove because he knew him at Rabbitoes. Russell too…who did the scouting there.
This is what keeps Wigan at the top - they don’t sign many duffers.
