What a superb try by Lindop.
It certainly was. If Robertson at Saints had done that, his disciples at Sky would be trying to commission a statue of him.

| Was it a sin-binning? I don't like it but in the current climate, yes.
Did Connor mess up the short drop out? Yes, and I choked on my Harveys Bristol Cream in laughter.
Did aforementioned pond dweller throw a convincing hail mary for the first try? Dan Marino couldn't have done better.
Did either team deserve to win/lose? With a ref that incompetent (my diplomatic skills being tested here) either team would have had cause for complaint.
But we did win. And we did it with a backline that was more makeshift than Salfords payroll.

| We showed a few proper 'game smarts' over the 80 minutes, something we often lack or have done to us: - Powell putting in just the gentlest shove on Lisone to knock him off balance - Currie just getting in the way of Connor's attempt to catch the ball, but without fouling him - Fitzgibbon making sure that Palasia tackle got the looking at it deserved.
On the other hand, Mr Sneyd did some nice things in the game but will be extremely relieved that rubbish kick in the last seconds didn't turn into a disastrous interception - it would have been better to launch it into the stands on the full than boot it straight at their winger.

| When I saw our backs selected before the game I thought Leeds would be too much for us ... so it was a welcome win. We can't keep winning games like that. There were some signs that the half backs & Dufty will cause all sides problems if we can work our way up field. Presumably some of our injuries will have healed in nine days time especially as they must have been close to being ready this week to be selected in the squad. Let's face it when we watched the Wigan, Wakefield & then Widnes games it looked like being a very long season.

| It was another strange game almost a carbon copy of the Saints game. We started off second best and it looked like backs to the wall. Like the Saints game, after the first 10 minutes i though we were going to get mullered. But somehow we find a way back into the game and get into the grind. Something Dufty referenced at the end of the game. It wasn't looking good when they went 14-6 up and i honestly thought we would struggle to break down the dogged Leeds defence especially with some of our makeshift backline. Maybe a bit of luck on our side with the sin binning which was harsh but who's to say we wouldn't have scored that try anyway if they had 13 on the pitch? Great to grind out a win against Saints & Leeds who i feel are both much improved on last season and are wanting to be up there with us in the top 4. I'm hoping our attack will start clicking again like last year in the coming weeks..

| We won a game we had no right to it seemed to me against a fair bit of adversity - sign of a good side, was a great result and more in keeping to the Wire vintage of 2024.
Sun bin (as a minimum) was a fair call for that tackle, shoulder made contact with the head.

| I suppose we should be pleased with a narrow win. Leeds had potential attacking threats from most of their team which put us on the back foot for most of the game ,like against Saints last week. We need to be stopping opponents marching us downfield so much then we can get the ball back in better positions. An age old problem with the Wire.

Exactly. Head contact with force with mitigation that he bounced up off the chest during the tackle. Yellow card was correct under the rules.

| Everyone ignoring the fact that after the initial contact, the Leeds player's arm is consistently around Fitzgibbon's neck. In terms of the last few years it was always a yellow card IMO.
A gutsy win, but I think next week will be a different kettle of fish, we'll be tired and we seem to struggle against that lot more at the HJ than at the VapeDome.

| Yeah we were dominated for a big period, but we kept them out. Do i think we would of won if Palasia hadn't got sent off...no. But we did. Musgrove was brilliant and glad he's decided to play like he was in the NRL. The effort was there and we never backed down at any point, Ashton and King would have added some strike and might have been that slight edge that we were missing, Ratchford did a good steady job filling in for injuries, which is exactly what we re-signed him for this year, And thewlis did a decent job as well. I'm so glad Max Wood is back in the team and don't think he should have missed out from the start, and Philbin put in some quality runs all game. I was really really surprised Yates was back in the team so soon, but was good to see him get a run out, and will help Harrison not burn out, but didn't look like he rotated with Him?
