Dare I say it…. Perhaps the signing we should have made when we recruited Drinkwater.   Last year we came pretty close and Sneyd may well have made that few points difference count.


Hopefully he stays grounded and doesn’t treat it as a payday move.   I’d like to think it’s his last chance to win something.

Hard to argue against the fact that he brings a set of skills we need, although I would have prioritised a forward or two.


As for Leyland, he presumably becomes Bullock Mk II, a bloke Sam signed up and then immediately fell out with.

Bullock crapped in the nest.  It was his own fault that he and another ex-player left Wire.

Hopefully Leyland will be eased into the team as he develops.

I'm happy with this. We did seem to have a problem at scrum half. With Ratchford too old/ not good enough any more. Leyland still an unknown. Hayes not recovered from injury. Maybe i'm greedy but i still think we need a big prop so mix it with the big boys. I mean, we were bossed by Wakefield pack fairly easily. 

Fair play to whoever it was that said a top halfback was on the way in... only took however many months but it was only a matter of time!
