I know it's only round 1. But i was a little surprised by last nights scoreline. I thought Wigan would come out and blast Leigh away like they usually do and Leigh would struggle. Hard to ascertain if last night was a one off or a taster for things to come this season.
My thoughts are that i think we will find it tougher this year. I think the league will be more competitive. Last season we had Leeds, Cas & Huddersfield struggle. Hull & London barely winning any games all season. We had Leigh struggle for 2/3 of the year and only came good towards the end. Saints were bang average for most of the year and didn't really threaten us in the top four and Catalans were the same. That only left Salford, Wigan & Hull KR as our main rivals. I feel that 2025 will see Leeds & Saints more of a challenge to us. I think Hull will be more competitive and based off last night Leigh will be up there. I just hope we get it right on the field and the pessimist in me think we could finish 4/5th slightly lower than last year. I hope Sam proves me wrong.
Great game. Tex Hoy was never going to kick that. John Wells spouting rubbish saying it was the correct decision. If you had a decent kicker in the team then yes but i'd have tapped it and gone for a drop goal as they were 10m out.
Find it mind boggling that Hoy went for the two. You kinda knew he would miss it, I would have just got close to the posts and I think they would have had a better chance at the one point. Lewis celebrated like they just got to a Grand Final at the end.

Considering Sky are desperate to turn him into the next RL Messiah he did love all except kick that 40/20 in the first half until the end.
