I wasn’t expecting a 3rd place finish based on the season before under Powell, on the other hand I wasn’t expecting such a disastrous season under Powell given what I thought was a decent squad. I think labelling the majority of the squad as 6/10 was extremely harsh, compounded by your very damning view of Dufty which I personally think is unsustainable. But. that is my opinion.

Fitzgibbon was working hard back in training today, according to a report in the Warrington Guardian. Good of him to make the effort, given that he has apparently packed in!!

There is a video today from Warrington Wolves with Fitzgibbon lifting weights, surely if he was done he wouldn't be lifting any weights ???

I'm looking forward to next year, a fully fit Fitz back in the team is a big bonus, get big Dan Russell firing and up to speed could be a good addition on the right. Despite what we saw for PNG i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt until he has 2-3 games under his belt for us.
I'm optimistic about our forward pack, we're not massive but we're not small pushovers either, Thomas and Okoro could still impress on top of who we already have, and Leon Hayes And Leyland fighting for a spot in the halves i think is good for us.

Agree with virtually all of this, but I think allowing someone only 2-3 games before judging is a bit tight. Matt King was an Aus international and I think if we judged him on his 1st seaso, let alone 3 games we would have binned him off.

Well Burgess joined Huddersfield a month ago, and Vaughan was pictured in training with us two weeks ago (at which point we can assume any doubt about whether he was coming back was put to bed).

So somewhere in the space of the 2-2.5 weeks before that Burgess will have needed to have decided he hated Huddersfield and start putting feelers out about other clubs, and for that rumour to spread.
