Quote: Lord Tony Smith "Of course there is. There's more chance of Saints winning the GF than Hull KR selling out. I hope we reduce their allocation next season at the HJ.'"
The whole ground IS sold out apart from the recently erected temporary south stand which holds 1,000. There is a decent chance this will sell out also.
Last week v Leeds the new south stand sold out completely.
Warrington allocation is in the North stand. There are 5 sections A-E and usually the away team gets A and B which is 800 seats. Earlier in the season Warrington were only able to fill about half of this so maybe 400 at best. This time Warrington have got A-C which is 1,100 (100 empty for segregation) resulting in some Rovers season ticket holders having to move to the temporary South Stand.
It would be a risk to have Warrington fans among the temporary south stand which is also in the Craven 'Streat' food & drink area..Should that have happened and trouble were to break out I'm pretty sure Hull KR would have been held to account.
Rovers have been turning people away week after week this season but the away section of 800 is usually half empty or less. It's great that even with an extra allocation Wire will fill their allocation this time. The atmosphere at CP has been electric this season and with so many Wire fans that is only likely to increase.
For years Rovers have averaged between 7 and 8 thousand but these last 2 years there is a whole new generation of supporters and suddenly the ground is not big enough. The club is putting in an extension the the East Stand for 2025 which will help.
But most likely you will be back to 400 or so away supporters when you return to CP next year. Am I right or am I right?
Not picking a fight and it's great that Rovers will take 2,000 or more to your place. I seriously doubt that your club would want to do anything to reduce that number next season.
As for the game it's too close to call. If you should progress at our expense I'll be cheering you on in the final. Anyone but Wigan surely?
