Doubt if the club would get any insurance company to insure the proposed training facility from flood damage. There’s two things here really. First pitch to flood is generally the ‘Skate Park Pitch’, it’s often out of use for months - this is the pitch immediately in front of the 3G pitch, known by Latchford Giants as ‘Lake Victoria!’. The ‘changing rooms pitch’ between the god awful changing rooms and the restaurant that used to be the maternity hospital generally fares better but still suffers from standing water. This is aways due to heavy rain, games were called off last week due to standing water. However, the whole park has been designed to hold a massive amount of water for when the Mersey breaks its banks. As Boss Hogg mentions the slope you drive up as you go in is there to stop flood water getting to the houses the other side of Knutsford Road, it’s also why the £4m stand they built (the bottom floor of which the club want to put the gym) is on stilts, the park is designed to hold several feet of flood water.

i always think its the training pitch that gets it historically, but you're right, i was suprised last week when they said the other pitches were water logged

Pre Covid the whole park was under water.
The bowling greens and play area looked like a lake. You could see it from knutsford road.
