Quote gary numan="gary numan"i wouldnt confuse disappointment with wanting to fail. I am underwhelmed by burgess been given the job as i think its too big a gamble. In no way do i want him to fail. I want the complete opposite. I wish him well and hope the gamble pays off.'"
That's pretty much how I feel.
After Holbrook turned us down, I'd rather us just "chill out", and get the right man for the job. Getting a coach 4 days after a rejection, feels a little knee jerk. This season is as good as finished, so let Chambers and Marshall see it through, THEN get the coach. We might have got an NRL man nearing the end of his contract, or a chairman who wanted rid of his coach.
However, we've not. We've done what we've always done (bar Smith) and took a gamble.
I hope (and badly want it) to pay off.
