We'll have ample time to judge whether he's a good coach, man manager AND political manoeuverer - if the rumours of really how bad the situation is within the club are true.
If he's just the former it'll end in tears I'd suggest.
If he does the business, I wonder how many of the sceptics will come on here to say 'I was wrong'. Not many methinks.
From the long list of 'possibles', he and Wane were the two that stood out for me - and I thought all along that Wane was a non-starter given his background and current commitments.
I note on other sites it's said he's 'rejected' the Wire approach (according to Vossy for example). I have no idea if that's true or not.
