Atrocious 80min performance but at least we hung on to win. Defence in our 20 and attack in the opposition 20 is embarrassing. Thewlis, Williams, Wrench, Walker and Currie were all very good but Dufty and Ratchford need to be dropped even though the latter won us the match according to some on here with 5 kicks from in front of the posts. Need to see some improvement soon.

I've just listened to Powell's post match comments on Sky. Seems that Williams was ill and did well to take to the field.

Part of the reason can be seen in the commentary on the condition of Williams going into the match.
Sometimes we're not privvy to everything that goes on in the camp - quite right too.

Yes Hudds capitalized on it - fair play to Fages in particular - and I was impressed that once they spotted the weakness they kept on targetting it.

Next week it will be interesting to see if the left edge is working like it has for a lot of this season.

Someone else mentioned Currie moving in field a lot more. That would have exposed Ratch too, especially if Williams was under the weather.

Kevin Naiqama was superb yesterday. When it's hot defences struggle to put the pressure on ... so he gets more good ball than normal. Hence so many soft tries.

Walker will captain Warrington one day I reckon. He's got all the attributes. He's aggressive and enthusiastic and mouthy without it ever boiling over.

I mentioned the 5 from 5 and Huddersfield 3 from 5 being crucial, which is a fact. There were 5 tries for each team, and as I pointed, out our defence is not good enough. I made no comment on whether the 5 goal kicks were enough to keep a shirt.

We had Ashton and Thewlis, who are no slouches and we didn't get either one into space during the entire game. Thewlis did it all on his own. Yet, Huddersfield carved us open down our left with far too much ease.

I thought he spoke well on the Sky interview.

I might be getting soft in my old age, but I’m happy with that. We have lost those games so many times over the years, where we couldn’t stop the flow of momentum and got done at the end of the game.
