Confirmed Wigan assistant coach

Yeah good luck to him and Henderson. I think Henderson has a good enough pedigree as coach and assistant coach to get a job and hopefully that will be somewhere he can make a mark. I think he would be a good fit at Salford to be honest but that's not an easy job to take on at the minute, there is a lot of uncertainty at that club.

Great upwards move for him. Not beyond the realms of possibility that he comes back to us as head coach after a successful stint, in the fullness of time.

Briers would have been a legend at any club he stayed at. Would have had more passing options at Saints and I believe they would have dominated that Leeds team had he stayed. Andrew John's said Briers is best passer he's ever seen, just think about that....!

He was a superb passer, I know the pass for Monaghan in the 2012 grand final gets shown a lot, but he used to do that often for wingers like Smyth or Halliwell. It’s a skill to get the ball to Monaghan, but it’s a masterclass to make that pass and create that room for lesser players behind a beaten pack.

What I’d give to go and watch genuine halfbacks like that again who could actually create, not just play percentages.
