Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "The way I saw it was Hull started well and looked the best side for ten minutes, then Warrington slowly started to dominate the first half. They deserved their 6-0 lead (albeit the way it came was a little fortunate). Hull started brightly again in the second half, but from perhaps 45-60 mins it was Warrington on top again. Then obviously Hull dominates the later part of the game.
What I would say is Hull were more dominant in their dominant spells than Wire were in theirs. However Wire had longer such spells.'"
Got to agree with this and your earlier post in general terms. The bottom line for me was that we needed (should have had) more points on the board when we were dominant in the earlier part of the match.
In a game of very fine margins a drop before half time, that kick going over would have made the difference and not just mathematically. A score back from 10-0 down really got your tails up, from 12 or even better 13 who knows? Not quite a consolation score but more out and out panic rugby and a bit more self belief that we could control the end game.
Ah well that's the way it goes onwards and hopefully upwards
