I’m far from an expert these days but to me Sullivan just fits that profile of a player who might struggle to be a top level 7 in the massively structured NRL week in and week out but would still absolutely tear it up in SL, there’s been absolutely loads over the years and if Kelly is seen as the benchmark I think there’s a lot of similarities.

If the club are confident they can get JA playing well and regularly that could be a brilliant partnership, there’s some big Ifs though there.

Wests are desperate to get him out of his big 4 year deal to the point of subsidising his wages and it’s clear we want him but the problem has always been him and his agent insist he’s not leaving the NRL. Seems strange that his agent would now be making ‘jokes’ like that. Worth keeping an eye on the situation I don’t think we’ve heard the last of it yet, especially after missing out on Lam after going big it’s clear we are in the market for that type of player.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Adrian Lam had a very straight bat and a very stony face when questioned about it. Much different to when facing the same questions about O’Donnell and Lam last year.

I think the big difference is that Lam Snr was out of contract at the end of the year, while Jnr has instigated a contract dispute, which rarely ends in the player staying put.

I’ve no idea where he’ll be playing next year, wouldn’t surprise me if it’s Catalans, Hull or Leigh to be honest. But it’s far from certain that he’ll be staying at Leigh imo.
