"Remember last time they were here, the Huddersfield Giants, they lost to a Luke Walsh drop goal. He's only scored four drop goals in his St Helens career has Luke Walsh and each and every one of them have been scored by Luke Walsh"[/quote:1h9um51j]: |

On a similar theme, I loved Wilderspool. Very atmospheric. Good bar at the back of the Railway End. A bit too much sand in the pitch though
Give over, Wilderspool had the best grass pitch anywhere in world sport for several years. We covered it in manure every other week.

| I think Headingly looks like a tired old ground now rather than a nice traditional one. But it wouldn't take much to change that. Look at the Carnegie Stand.
Some new safety regs, get rid of the posts that block views and upgrade/modernise the other three stands/roofs and it'll be a cracking stadium.
...for Leeds home games that is. It'll be great for Leeds fans and 2000 travelling away fans. But with the infrastructure around the ground it isn't a place for 13000 travelling fans from other towns on a large number of coaches and cars for semifinals.

| I don't really feel like going back to Headingley for a very very long time after this week.

| Quote: The Ghost of '99 "Wigan sold Central Park because they were bust. Everyone knows that apart, seemingly, from you.
They were off to play at the Reebok until Whelan finally stepped in and took control, giving the club access to the new football stadium he was building, which you continue to rent.
Again not true. Whelan wanted to buy us and build the DW on central park but Tesco greased the palms of Robinson and Rathbone and we sold the ground. Whelan then bought us after this as the 2 at the helm left.
