Over the last few seasons, Lee Briers would have been kicking that ball into the corner without any shadow of a doubt. The point i was making is that the way our attack is at the minute, then taking the 2 might become a bit more frequent in our play this season.

Also on this occassion taking the two was the right decision based on the fact that it extended our lead just before half time, ten/twenty minutes earlier it might have looked like a sign of weakness a la Leeds in the Cup Final. I think we will continue to run more than we kick all things being equal

Taking the 2 was definitely the best option ,with our attack being as laboured as it is at present i doubt we would have had enough time to cross the line.

If we had "taken the two" at the grand final just before half time when we were 16-2 up, instead of Bridge being forced into touch on the first tackle, then Joel would not have got injured when he did, and Wigan probably wouldn't have had enough time to kick off and regain possession in order to score their try.
A whole different outcome, possibly.
