A few years ago, during football on sky, there used tobe a interactive option where you could use different camera angles etc. Anyway, one of the options was to turn the commentary off and just have the crowd noise etc. It was a brilliant idea and I have no idea why they stopped it as i used to use it all the time! Sky need to implement this on Super league so we dont have to listen to these clowns. Tonights commentary was disgraceful.

We could probably argue/discuss this all night, but the fact is, if Sky withdrew their backing, then RL in its present form would be dead..... There would be an amateur version, but the standard would be woefully poor, compared to now and it would be played in ramshackle grounds, because clubs like Wire, Widnes and Saints would never be able to keep up the maintainence of their stadiums.

On 13 February 2009, commentating on a St Helens and Warrington Wolves match, Hemmings called for the names and numbers on the back of the Warrington away shirt to be changed as he found it hard to read. Warrington Wolves recognised this and two weeks later, in a match between Wakefield Wildcats and Warrington Wolves, Warrington altered their away shirt through having a white background behind the numbers.

Aside from from him being from Warrington I don't think he's too bad myself.

I see both sides of it. I see the bizarre over the the top coverage of United and I see the odd things certain commentators hold against us.

I mention Wednesday night. Now I know people who have met, and have challenged Martin Tyler and they've come away convinced that he has no bias against United or for Liverpool. But he clearly had his own agenda on Wednesday and that was the return of Suarez. He was desperate for that to be the the story. Suarez being the hero on his comeback. He always needs that story and it's wrong. He should just comment on the the game he's watching and you can see the same in the Rugby. I'm certain this weeks story will be about Tompkins last game.
