Quote: TF and the wire "There are two spoons in the town centre. The closest to the HJ is the Looking Glass which is nicely decorated but tends to get packed on match days.
The other is only 5 minutes further walk, and is the Friar Penketh. Larger and easier to get served. Food is OK, typical pub grub, couple of nice curries on the menu.
Contrary to other postings, there are some decent places to eat in the town centre, nando's, Ask, Pizza Hut, Grill on the square (not cheap), East orient (cracking Asian buffet opposite bus station), couple of Italians on Time Square.'"
I would rather eat gnaw my own testicles off than step foot in that buffet place! Plenty of restaurants but in terms of pub grub you are limited to spoons and the Barley Mow. Blue Bell does food but never tried.
