How easily reversible would the changes be? I mean in terms of putting changes in place for 2014? For example, reverting to their original proposal which from my limited POV, seems most sensible although as I understand, not viable for some clubs under more financial pressure than others? Could these clubs under tighter restraints just exclude themselves from an U-23s league until their business model is more stable to take on an U-23s squad?
What's wrong with a revival of the old *A* team system ? Clubs could have senior players recovering from injury to ease their way back to the top flight without the intensity of Superleague...Clubs could also give players who show promise trials without committing to long term contracts...It would still give the younger players an opportunity to develop their game.
