"We are pleased to give you the opportunity sign up to the 2011 Spire Healthcare English Half Marathon with amazing benefits as well as getting weekly personal training with Warrington Wolves and Great Britain Rugby League start Paul Wood and Mickey Higham (pictured below).
Paul and Mickey have recently set up a Personal Training business and want to get 12 lucky runners to get fit, get motivated and get fundraising in a head to head challenge.
The 'Try Fitness Training Challenge' will be made up of two teams 6, headed up by Paul and Mickey. The challenge is all about which team will get the fastest aggregate time at the English Half, but more importantly which team can raise the most for their chosen charity. Paul's team will fundraise for Help For Heroes and Mickey's team will fundraise for the Steps Charity, as his son Harry was born with a club foot.
The challenge is the brainchild of Rob Griffiths, Director at Blue Primrose Consulting who are the local development partners to the English Half and sponsors of the Wolves. Rob commented: "The English Half is billed as "The People's Challenge" and this competition is in keeping with that spirit. There is still plenty of time to turn from someone who isn't overly active into a finisher at the English Half in September. Paul and Mickey will be there along with all our other partners such as Spire Healthcare, New Balance and The Park Royal Hotel to make that happen!"
