DOBSON is good at a mid-table club like hull rovers,but at wire nope we wil replace briers with a better player not worse,if he was that good how come the raiders just released him half way through the nrl season. dobson not for me.

The jealosy and bitterness of some Hull Fc fans Knows no bounds, their obsession with their cross city rivals is becoming embarrasing, what Hull kr have done is within the RL laws and has in fact been implimented previously by other Sl clubs on more than one occasion, as has been stated by the RFL.,
Rimmer stated every super league club has had some special dispensation in the past and KR are no different.

Both of those Wigan scenario's are completely different though.



Yes we did, we de-registered a player who wasn't going to play again that season. Which is completely allowed within the rules, the problem in this Dobson case is that Hull KR intend to re-register him once fit again/Mason's new passport comes through. There is that rule (which has been posted on several forums, but I cba finding it) that states that exact thing.



But we never de-registered him either, he never played for us at all that year, so why would we both registering him in the first place? If you had a player out with a broken leg from before the start of the season, would you register him for the sake of it?


It's not the initially cancellation of Dobsons contract that's the problem (imo anyway), its the fact that they are doing so in the knowledge that they fully intend to put him back on quota as soon as Mason's new passport comes through.

If Dobson is de-registered, does that automatically mean he is then available??

Where or when would his contract to HKR come into play??

IAW today's League Express Dobson's contract was terminated to allow this to happen, rather than him just being de-registered, hence I'd assume that he's a "free agent" pending Mason's Tongan passport being sorted out.

I can only assume a deal has been done (in dark smokey rooms with mysterious men passing brown paper bags filled with money*) to keep Dobson "loyal" to HKR during this period.

TBH I'm more than happy to see Mason gracing the SL and HKR aren't the only club to tread the line of rules/sportsmanship in a deal to suit themselves, so good luck to them.
