I agree 100% with that, Mike was the kind of person that anyone would warm too.
His knowledge of the game was incredible, i remember being star struck when Mike first came down to training as i knew he was part of the Warrington side that beat the Australian tourists, within a few minutes of us meeting him the nerves had gone and i felt totally relaxed, Mike made everyone feel as though you had known him for ages, that was down to him being so down to earth and such a friendly and approachable person.
Bick, remember the first time that Mike brought the Ghetto blaster blaster down to training, with us not knowing what it was for i thought we was in for some kind of saturday night fever dance routine on broomfields that aided rugby players with their fitness lol .....I remember asking him has he got any U2 or Bon Jovi, he just smiled as he knew what we was in for with the bleep test but we obviously didn`t lol .......
Mike brought the best out of people, he had a talent for that. As fans we all like to think that we know a fair bit about rugby league, you realise how little you know until you have had the pleasure of meeting someone like Mike Kelly.
