Quote: Robbie Rotten "I can't understand what the target market is. I was talking to someone who knows Ray, and he was under the impression that Ray didn't want it to be your usual match day pub. I think it serves food now, although I heard somebody got cold food, suggesting it's microwaved crap, which suggests it isn't a restaurant. I thought it was being turned into a sports bar, but I still can't fathom it. Either way, the place is only good for match days due to its poor location. Next to the stadium is good every other Sunday, but other than that, there aren't local houses, there isn't a bus stop outside there and it always seems 'too big', making atmosphere seem non-existent. Ray's invested a shed load into it so he has his hopes up, but he's had it a while now and I thought its lack of success under his ownership would have swayed him off investing loads into it, but I guess not.'"
When the Rodney first re-opened, it was heaving every Friday/Saturday and busy during the week. It changed hands a couple of times after that, the last guy in there effectively ran it into the ground, which was a crying shame.
