Thats a very defeatist way of looking at things!!
Why not aspire to win the lot but be realistic with the outcome?
Like TS said last game last season, 'we won one, we're going for both next season'. Why dont the fans adopt this philosophy but then react sensibly if it doesn't happen??
Rather than say, well yeah we are building for the future so a decent league position and maybe a semi final or two would be good. Why dont we say, we want to win the lot, and if we dont, look at the results for what they are? If we draw Leeds away in the first round of the playoffs but lose in a cracking game by one point, we can still be proud. If we lose to Bradford in the next round of the cup in a tight game by a last minute drop goal, as sickening as it would be, we can still be proud.
So lets all be optimistic about everything, but constructic and reaslitic with the actual outcomes.
