As we've got so much competition for places, these "loans" are perfect. We help out lesser clubs by loaning them a Super League ready player, which in turn helps their performances and also helps the players. There is no point in being sat on the bench for 2 months when you could be playing with a small club to keep your match fitness up.

Am I right in thinking that Penny can't so the whole 'dual registration' thing as you have to be outside the top 20 earners at your club, which I presume he wouldn't be, given he was given his contract he was hot property. If he was to go out, it'd have to be 'on loan' I think ?
