i've always liked cas from the "classy cas" days of the eighties and think their fans are a decent bunch,i think they'll make the play-offs,good halfbacks,a decent 13 and some strike players in the backs,injuries could be a problem to their strength in depth but their first 17 is pretty solid,i'd say 7th.

Struggling to think of eight teams I'd expect to be better than them off the top off my head. I reckon they should be looking for a good cup run, too.

Sometimes a settled squad can help a side but I just can't see Cas improving on last years finish. If they get a few injuries they look a little short unless they can bring in the couple of players they're meant to be looking for.

They have some top players like Chase, Shenton and Sargent but also some very very average ones.

I'd put them around 9th or 10th.

I like Matterson, I think he's done well there.

I also like that they try to play rugby, give it some air and all that. If they're on the box on a Friday night, i'm happy as they over the last couple of years have featured in games I've enjoyed.

Like folk have said, I'll put them in that 6th - 9th bracket. Hopefully more towards 6th.
