Indeed, bringing back old posts really does my head in as well.

I aggree though that if it is relevant, bring it back but post more than a smiley for us thick types who fail to undestand what the point is.

I think these words should be our mantra tbh.
I could count on the number of one hand the people who frequent this board that I actually know in person, and even then, I knew them before I knew their RLfans username. For the main, it this merry band of few that I disagree with the most - in terms of quantity and magnitude. I can honestly say that not once did I bump into St Conroy in the street and he stopped me to say "You short, ugly =redSwear Filtering so-and-so, how very dare you have a different opinion from me. That's it, our friendship is over".

Similarly, I have never been stopped in the street by someone saying "Norven Soul, you, aren't you?" then beat me up/shook my hand for something I'd posted on here.
I don't understand why some people insist on 'causing disruption' as though it's some form of teenage rebellion. We've all posted a jokey post now and again, or started a tongue-in-cheek thread, but we're hardly a forum of political satirists, are we? I can just see some hairy assed bloke in the Red Lion discussiong how the mods are like mini-Hitlers due to the swear filter or because their thread on the activities of Panama Jacks' regulars had been locked.

The cliques seem to have disappered, that is of course if they ever existed.

Going down the Mary Whitehouse road here.If there's something on tv you don't like you have an option to watch that programme or not.Imo same thing applies to this forum.By reading 1 or 2 posts you should be able to detect where that thread is going so all you need to do is click that mouse especially if in some cases 'your coming to the end of your tether' and it's also an insult to say your appalled at the lack of correct spelling on here as you no nothing about peoples upbringings.

I don't believe it is an insult. I merely commented on an observation, and formed an opinion.

I'm going to sound mildly ridiculous now but,

I think this forum is hilarious, I really do. I probably laugh on here more than any TV programme I watch. I also am probably not more passionate about many things in my life than this place, as in, there's not too many things that I do every day, but this is one of them. Some things drift in & out of my life, some people too, this is one of the few things that remain consistant.

It's a place where I can express myself, have fun, try and make it fun for other folk. Debate stuff, argue stuff, learn stuff, dispute stuff, do lots of things. It's like pub banter but without having to go to the pub. Some people go to the pub every night for a natter, I come on here, now & again it has ad adverse effect and gets to me, I don't know why but now & again it does, but 99% of the time, I have a ball on here, and get involved in some pretty good banter & debate to boot.

For us all to take the time to get a log in, come on each day read threads, spill our thoughts out, read what people think of our thoughts, then react to that, as we do, we all must care about the place. Lots of people don't come on here, don't 'Get It' as such, we do. It's not a bad forum, nobody is cruel or spiteful, now & again, I guess we're all guilty of getting a tad over opinionated, but it's only an overflow of passion & emotion for a subject that's obviously so close to our hearts.

I reckon, if you come on here, each day, and your honest etc, you don't need or use 'gimmicks', you just come on and say what you feel, and inject your personality on your posts, there's a place for all of us, however big or small, you decide that, whether you want to be a 100 or 10k poster, that's your call, but there's definately a place for us all.

The issue here is that we all post on a FORUM and over time the people who want to participate on this forum will change whether it be from people feeling disenfranchised and leaving or with new members joining.

Everyone is an individual and will address topics in his or her own way - the important thing is that members understand and follow the rules laid down so everyone can have their say without fear of intimidation.

One of the problems I see with this forum of late is that is the same people over and over again chipping in with pointless asides which not only derail threads but also make them look like fools.

I am a big fan of reading and posting some O/T stuff as it keeps the conversation fresh - I wouldn't like to see this part of the forum die.
