Monaghan would walk into first grade at Souths.

Maybe as a hooker interchanging with Isaac Luke, but no way would I have him at 7 over Chris Sandow last year's NRL rookie of the year.

For what its worth I reckon Souths will have a big season, top 4 material for me. I reckon looking at this season's NRL squads we are superior 'on paper' to Canberra, Newcastle, Penrith and maybe North Queensland.

Would we have the worst first choice full back in the NRL if we were in the comp?

Almost every team has a top drawer full back, the exceptions being Wests Tigers, Canberra, Penrith (although Lachlan Coote is a great prospect) and Parramatta.
