| I have been annoyed to see one member of our team recently,in my opinion, behaving like a prima Donna.
At Huddersfield,he very publicly demonstrated with one of our forwards, for taking the ball on the last tackle, and not passing it on. It was not the action of a team man,who was thinking of the team, rather that he didn't receive the ball.
Yesterday v Hull K R,it was clear after the first tackle that his previous injury had re occurred, and that he should be substituted. When he was replaced after about 20 mins he was visibly questioning this, indeed he made gestures to the coach that he should still be on the field. But for further problems with injuries,I would like to think that he would have been left off the field and made to think about his position in 'the team' and not questioning the coaching staff in public.
Team spirit has we are told been vital in the make up of our team,I sincerely hope we put a stop to petulance before it gets out of hand.

| I didn't see the first incident you mention, but to me that sounds reasonable. If a forward takes the ball up on the last, unless we are under their sticks, I would expect our senior team members to be telling him that was a poor choice! Not pat him on the back and say well done. Hate comparing sports, but imagine a defender having a crack at goal from 40 yards in the last few mins when utd were getting beat, what would Roy Keane do? And he was regarded one of the best captains around. As I say, I didn't see the incident, if he's gone way over board then I understand your point. But I would expect players to be told when they mess up.
Re being injured, that's the coaches and physios responsibility, we could all see certain players weren't fit yesterday, it's up to the main men to make that choice.

| I get your point, but what annoys me is that all these problems, differences of opinion etc should be sorted in the dressing rooms out of sight of the public!

| The only person I can think of is Griffin who didn't look too happy when he was called off. For me that meant he cared and wanted to be back out there playing and looking like he cared which in all honesty impressed me. Yes we want players to show they care when we score but also care when we make mistakes instead of acting like they don't. Griffin is a model player and for me is definitely captain material.

| Captains should not question the coaching staff or other players publicly!

| I think the point is that at Hudds. he visibly had a go at the player rather than just a quiet word. Yesterday he was obviously in pain & limping. He tried to run it off but to no avail. When taken off he made his feelings known to the coaching staff. He must respect his fellow professionals whether they are players or backroom staff. If a player is injured and stays on the field he is most likely to make it worse. This happens from time to time when all interchanges have been used up.

| If we are talking about Griff,
He was taken off injured, might not of been happy but was taken off. Jones moved to and Wella came on,.
Justin carney was injured just before half time, and went of. and Griff was brought back on, from what i saw he was still trying to run his injury off.
Second Half.
Carny came back on at kick off, Griff was still on wella was still on , but no sign what so ever of Josh Jones, or for the rest of the match, so i take it Josh jones injury he picked up just before half time , ( i didn't see it) was worse than the ankle injury to Griff,
I take it that was a staff call not a Griff call, We could all see Griff was injured just thankful HKR did not exploit it.
Don't blame the player, i ahve seen less injured players for other teams stay of for less .

| I took it as being upset at being subbed , the prima donna behaviour took the form of throwing his Hi-vis Bib on the grass rather than wearing it . on our recent history of Diva-tactics it's pretty tame .
showing he wanted to be out on the pitch and contribute.
As to the previous incidents- his occasional defensive lapses meant he's been the recipient of on field lectures rather than the otherway around.
don't think Wat-Sheens have a mutiny on their hands just yet .

Lee seems the only possible casualty , If Tomkins also cops a disciplinary , that might cause an issue

Fair comment.

| Emotions and passions can be high. Anyone who has played can verify that some players play very much with heart on the sleeve and can make comment during matches. They are often the type of people that either apologize afterwards or revert back to behaving like nothing happened. It's just a foible of certain people. There team mates understand it, the coaches understand it. Only when it becomes a regular and disruptive occurrence should it be worried about.
When a player is emotional during a game, it generally shows commitment to the cause. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
