| Any recommendations as regards books featuring the Club or players who have appeared for the Club?
For example:-
"Captain Courageous - The Chris Hesketh Story" (Chris Hesketh and Graham Morris 2006)
"Salford Rugby League Club (Images of Sport)" (Graham Morris - 2000)

| Salford City Reds: 100 Years at the Willows
by Graham Morris (still available)
Rugby Renegade: the Gus Risman autobiography
I quite like the coaching secion at the back and compare it to today
and of course, Graham Morris has written many more.

| Last one I read was 'The King of Brilliance' the Story of James Lomas and was very interesting if you want to take a peek at pre-WW1 Rugby League.
It's thoroughly researched and packed with stats and facts. So much so, that it can be a little stale at times (Only my opinion) but is still worth a read. Very interesting.

| There's a bullet pointed paragraph in Hock's book.
If your willing to search the second hand stores & online book sellers,
Autobiography's
Malcolm Alker .- the devil within
Robbie Paul - Rugby Warrior
David Young - the Young One, from the front line
Gone North, Welshmen in RL 1986 vol1, 1988 vol 2
Adrian Hadley - codes of Miconduct
Assorted Salford stories and you can pick them up for pennies.
Not Salford related but a great read is Rugby Renegades by Sean fagan, about the formation of league in Sydney and Queensland. Hugely detailed and explains the significance of the 1910 NU tourists led by James Lomas in breaking the RU influence on NSW

| Darrell Platt, [iA History of Salford Rugby League Football Club[/i. The text itself is covered by Morris’s books but there are a lot of statistics in there on players.

Yeah it's a good read. As you say, fascinating from a statistical angle.
Morley's book is good. Although it's before his days at the club it obviously covers his life growing up in Salford.
