No, you'd be wrong.

The rule you'd be thinking of is the "new talent player pool", but it states that the player can't of played RL at any level previously, which Big Sam clearly has. Same reason the rule can't be applied to SBW, Eastmond etc.

The press coverage we would get, would poss sell another thousand season tickets, on what we have already sold.

And i reckon the good DR could find a top sponsor to pay at least 50% of his wages.

And the boost to the dressing room with big Sam coming in could raise there game.

It is a thought we need a cple of forwards and here is one poss on the market.

Realistically we should look to target whoever they offload to make room for Sam.
