Does anyone have any idea how many ST we shifted last season? MK has tweeted just under 1k sales so far, and whilst a few more may renew I don't anticipate to many jumping on board. That coupled with the increase ln match day price, does anyone think we could be im for our worse average attendance in SL next season? Can the usual suspects not come on and start slating me for being negative, it's just an observation/ question.

Look , the attendances will be what they will be.
I just hope that those who are not renewing understand that having a well funded club for the foreseeable future is NOT a given.
If we don't support MK then ultimately he won't support the club
I'm not sure what else he can do.
Communication is better,as we've said,and he's shaking up the squad with the Aussie national coach.
If that's not supported then we will all lose out

PS as for the increase in match day price,the first time I heard griping about that was about 1965. It happens.

Theres some firepower in your squad for next season. Should be an exciting side to watch IMO. Surely gotta be worth the renewal price to find out with Sheens at the helm after having a full pre season with the squad. Only my opinion from an outsider looking in.

Well said caslad75. I think the problem is that with the 'names' we have signed the last couple of years, the one's coming in are somewhat seen as not being as good. Coupled with the restrictions placed on the club with the salary cap, which goes hand in hand with supporters choosing not to attend, I actually think the squad being put together is looking pretty useful TBF. Sure we are light in certain areas but as the season is still a good 8 weeks away from the first friendlies, I am not too concerned at this moment so think this team will surprise a few of even our supporters this year.

I also think it's early days with the season tickets and a better yard stick to measure it will be by the end of the year going in to January where most will have got it sorted.

You don't need the big names. What you do need is a coach than can build a squad that will run through brick walls for each other and keep them as a tight unit. Daryl Powell has worked wonders with our squad without any big names and I'm sure Sheens will be able to do the same. Yes, big names can help bring in new supporters, but that shouldn't effect true fans of the club renewing. How far have the big names got you in the past? Nowhere! How far can Sheens take a group of players that want to play for the club and each other? A lot further is my guess. To be fair, Carney and Vidot are as exciting a prospect to see running on the wings than any partnership I can think of in SL as long as you can get the ball out to them.

We wont see any increase in sales until we get it right on the pitch. There have been far too many false dawns over the years for Salford, Tim Sheens arrival wont make a blind bit of difference. Get us in the play-offs and give us a good cup run and watch them improve.
