Can he play for England Rugby League team straight away?????
If he can would you call him up for the 3 rd test match give him a run out.'"
Whilst I'm of the firm belief he would have been a success at blindside flanker in Union, our sport needs him back more than they do. However, no I wouldn't subject him to the intensity of NZ test match straight away, for two reasons:
1) He's not had a break and by the looks of entire England World Cup squad, the's done too much conditioning. So he's probably in serious need of a break, regardless of how we perceive the rigours on inside centre.
2) Even taking into consideration his natural strength, he looks to have lost some muscle mass. Like Wane pointed out when Joel Tomkins returned, even Burgess will require some rebuilding.
That said, he's Sam Burgess, so it's possible he could smash into them like only Sam does, but I don't think South's would be happy if he got injured.
