For those people who are not going on the club trip, how are people planning on getting there? £400 each seems a bit steep especially as you don't get there until late on Friday night!

Has anyone flown into Carcassone or Beziers before?

I did Carcassone quite a while ago now. Seem to remember getting a taxi in to town (not far) and then there are reasonably regular local trains to Perpignan that don't take too long. Pretty pain free as long as you're not there at an awkward time or in a rush.

If you can take a few days off work try flying to Barcelona (Ryanair) and staying somewhere like Llorer De Mar. We paid about £150 last year for flights & 7 nights accommodation in a fairly budget hotel. Think we're planning Thu-Tue this year so will only need to book 4 days off work.

Oh and beer much cheaper in Spain than France.... IIRC €2.50 for a pint of Estrella. Easy to arrange a place on a coach transfer on match day as well. Think we paid €25 for a return last year.

Flew to Carcassonne the first time we played Catalans away. As DR mentioned, you can get the train to Perpignan. You might see some Pink Flamingos on the way there, although that could be due to the quality of the local Ricard.

No flights from the North West so will have to fly from Luton or Stansted. A bit of a trek but flights are cheap.

Barcelona and Lloret would have been good but the trip would be too long for us.

I'll have a think but Beziers is looking the favourite At the moment.

Well, what a trip its going to be!

Decided to fly Bristol to Toulouse and the take the TGV from Toulouse to Perpignan.

Fly out Thursday back Sunday night!

Flights were cheap as chips and trains in France are not too bad so should be OK.
