| I have noticed a few comments about us not being allowed to pay full salary cap as our income is not enough, despite paying it in the year just gone.
Just wondered if this was a new rule as I don't understand how we could use the full cap last year but not this?
Or could it be a compromise with Rfl for there rumoured 'side payments'

32990_1435324474.jpg First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32990.jpg |

| If the owner has the means to give additional finances it's not an issue. Income could be easily subsidised by sponsorship. A classic example of this was Manchester City's hyper inflated Eitihad sponsorship deal.
These social media rumors of RFL intervention could simply just be a smokescreen for the owner reining in his excessive spending. It's glaringly obvious the speculative spending spree hasn't had any positive effect on team performance, attendances and sponsorship so the Doc has decided to cut his cloth accordingly.
Personally I think he's hoping Sheens can start to rebuild the club from the ground up. I think when or if he see's some real progress he will then re-evaluate his level of financial support for the club.

| to Confirm .It's not a rumour - or a ruse by the owner to back off team recruitment .
The cap is £1.82 million at every Club. There was one condition which was introduced with the increased cap;- which was a 50% spend against turnover rule.
SL Clubs can only spend 50% of their turnover on player costs therefore to spend the maximum £1.82m a club must have a turnover of at least £3.64 million.
Salford does not currently have a turnover to enable them to spend to the full value .
Salford will not be the only SL team unable to recruit to the full level.

| I'm not here to spread a little banter for once.
But i have to laugh as i'm a regular reader of your Forum, and i find it quite amusing at the beef alot of you have going with the resident Italian plumber you seem to have acquired.
But i also think Redwolf could also be one of the same specimens as said Plumber if not the same......
Always asking for clarity in posts always on Rumors ready to file a report in the local rag none of my business mind but i just have a sneaky feeling

That's 50% of the cap.
Basically a club can spend 50% of it's annual turnover, up to a maxium of £1.82m for clubs who's turnover is high enough.
If our turnover was £2m for example, we would only be able to spend £1m. If our turnover was £20m however, we would be only be able to spend £1.82m and not £10m.
I have no idea what the clubs turnover actually was.

| The accounts filled for period ending Jan 14 show turnover of 2.2m. On that basis, the salary cap would be set around £1.1m for us.
