Ok, he's gone. I think we all felt the same when Richie Myler went. We will find someone better.

Theo didn't go to a tribunal, an agreement was reached by parties concerned so the fee wasn't a set fee by the RFL but agreed by them.

On the face of it, it's certainly a step-up for him, but that doesn't guarantee him success. What it does guarantee, however, is more expectation and more pressure to succeed. He may thrive on that and take that next step, but equally he may not be the type of player to take that step yet. Only Theo and time will tell which it will become. Will Saints fans give him the time he may need?

as with Myler - Ratchford - Smith . Theo will prosper, I've no doubt the room the big saints pack will afford him will give him opportunity to express his abilities .

Well done to the club on signing Michael Dobson on a four-year-deal, effectively meaning Theo a) couldn't get the pay rise he deserved and b) wouldn't be first choice Salford scrum half until he was 25. He'll now go on to have a great career at Saints no doubt and joins a list with Jordan Turner, Marc Sneyd, Richie Myler and Stefan Ratchford all young promising half backs which have left the club.

I'm not defending him or his recent actions, but the above decision to sign Michael Dobson was done by a coach who is no longer here. Infact he was never going to be here for four years so why did we sign Dobson for such a duration? Probably because we were held to ransom as we have been for every single overseas signing we've made thus far.
