.....and another one owed 'a considerable amount of money' apparently.

I suppose you could say that we aren't going to miss something we have never had.

Unless he changes his body shape, he can never be the player he was about 4 years ago. No loss.

I'm sure it will free up a considerable amount of money on our salary cap. With this and the marquee player rule change it give's MK the opportunity to shop for luxury goods. That's if he's not down to his last fiver?

The whole Locke thing never provided us with anything to be honest. Possibly his first appearance at Hudds was his best game. From the Clubs point of view, it's a bonus him going. Frees-up cap and non-fed space. From a personal point of view, everything is extremely messy off the field at the moment and this doesn't help matters.

It's not exactly conducive to bringing in new and lapsed fans though...

Sad that he's gone, had the potential to be the best in the league.

Would be good to get a decent statement from the club before Tuesday, all that is going to happen is wild rumors will start and it can only damage the club and possibly effect numbers for next weekend.

All just way too messy at the moment.

Its a shame he's been so hampered by injuries this season, because I think he had the potential to be a fantastic player for us.

I think Evalds has put a spanner in the works by playing so well for us (not that I'm complaining). It's given the club an excuse not to play Locke and made his recovery even harder.

I hope for his sake he gets a contract back down under and I'm excited about who we might bring in on his salary. I just hope we do our research on the next players injury record and bring in quality who will be playing week in week out, otherwise we're back to square one.

It's laughable some on here believe with this marquee rule coming in Salford will somehow be able to attract top players because they can pay a few bob.

Top players want to go to top clubs. Salford will never fall into this category.

I blame that Steve Simms fella.

It's a great shame that it's finished this way.
If it's true that players are owed money,and I assume the lawyers are stating the facts,then it's very disappointing.
Irrespective of form and injuries,these are professional people signing contracts in good faith.
Every time there's a story likes this,it reduces the pool of talent that will sign for us.
I'm sure MK will cover this on Tuesday but,as redgunner rightly states,we're fast becoming a joke and it saddens me.

I'm very saddened by this story and feel the whole Locke saga (as expressed in the media) reflects badly on the club.
